My sterling silver and gold jewelry is inspired by ancient and contemporary motifs. The ancient inspiration is reflected in my chain mail jewelry designs and the contemporary motifs can be seen in my jewelry that was inspired by my memories of childhood games such as “jacks” and making clover or daisy chains. Battlefield armor used in the Middle Ages was strong and flexible; both of those characteristics are important in my jewelry designs. Taking inspiration from the more recent past, my interpretation of my childhood memories (especially games and pastimes I remember from that time) add a contemporary look and feel to my jewelry pieces. I would like the wearer of my jewelry to remember a simpler and happier time in their lives. The style of my jewelry is contemporary but with a clear link to the distant or more recent past.
