Lindsey Jenneman
Lindsey Jenneman is a Louisiana-based contemporary artist and the founder of Lemme Paint Dat. Originally from Mandeville and now based in Lafayette, her work is rooted in the landscapes, wildlife, culture, and visual language of the Gulf South. Her career began with a playful approach to familiar subjects and has grown into a full-time studio practice, including a national mural and artwork program for Outback Steakhouse that placed hundreds of her pieces in restaurants across the country.
Jenneman’s current work explores the natural world through bold composition, saturated color, metallic leaf, and unexpected perspective. Louisiana wildlife, native plants, water, and light become a starting point for paintings that move between realism and graphic abstraction. Her recent Land & Sea series reflects an evolving interest in creating work that feels distinctly Southern without relying on nostalgia, instead presenting familiar subjects with a contemporary, sometimes surreal point of view.
At the center of Jenneman’s practice is the idea that an artist does not need to arrive at one permanent visual identity. She approaches her work in eras, allowing each body of work to reflect what she is drawn to at that moment before moving toward the next idea. Through this process, she creates paintings that celebrate place, curiosity, beauty, and the freedom to continually evolve.
