Jenny Melanson
I have been working with fiber since childhood, beginning with needlepoint in grade school and then adopting knitting, weaving, and free-hand embroidery. Though I love my rigid-heddle and tapestry looms, my favorite craft remains needlepoint.
I particularly enjoy the problem-solving required to translate a mental snapshot into stitches. Those snapshots are often inspired by my frequent drives on the backroads between Cade and Crowley and by visits to my sister in New Orleans.
