Jerry Spehr
Jerry Spehr is a glass blower living in New Orleans. He has blown glass for 5 years, and is best known for his use of color, and creating pieces that have a sense of movement. His work is often influenced by nature, and more specifically, his love of the ocean.
He has completed many Intensive work/study courses with some of the world’s best glass blowers at, The Corning Museum of Glass, and The Pittsburgh Glass Center. He is quick to acknowledge and give thanks, for being allowed to work with these wonderful icons in the glass world, and everyone else, who has helped him become a better glass blower.
Jerry often says, “I came to the glass party late in life, but I’m going to make the most of it, now that I’m here”. His greatest satisfaction comes when one of his pieces brings a smile to someone’s face.
