Ginger Kelly is a glass artist living and working in Breaux Bridge, LA. Born and raised in Northern California, studied Art, Design and Glass at California State University Chico. After university studies Ginger relocated to Seattle in the late ‘80’s. Seattle had a very vibrant glass scene, which still continues. Working with blown glass, designing and selling her glass across the country.
Showing at the American Craft Shows, New York Gift Shows and in many galleries. Her designs are unique and at that time focus was on functional and table top designs. She has designed for companies in the US and Canada. Worked blowing glass in Seattle, Czech Republic, China and Germany. After many years in Seattle, she moved to South Louisiana.
“Louisiana has changed the focus of my my art. I love the colors, nature and lifestyle of Louisiana”. Originally relocating to Mandeville. Then two years after Katrina she moved to Breaux Bridge, which is now home. “I still blow glass, and my work has expanded to glass garden art, mosaics and designing jewelry”. “I work in Seattle often. My son is a glass artist, second generation”.
